Creative Bodywork

Roots extend their fine fibres deep into the earth, merging with it, taking strong hold and taking up water, minerals and enzymes to create new life. Our human roots are deep in the cycles of birth, life and death. We are born of the cycles of the universe and of the earth over ages. This includes everything from our remote ancestors up to our body functions in cycles: breath, heart, sleep, fertility,
For most of human existence we identified closely with these cycles, we lived in nature, and our Gods and philosophies of life were rooted in these natural life cycles. We belonged to the Mother Earth and the Father Sun. We were ONE with these forces, totally dependent on them like a child is dependent on her mother. We saw any illness, crisis and conflict as kinds of disharmony with these greater cycles – each culture and age interpreting these through their local experience and history. Each Shamanic spirituality was rooted in the Earth and her cycles but with local variations around the world.
With the trusting embrace of the mother, a child develops a healthy EGO, individuation and self-esteem, essential inner roots to be able to go out into life with confidence.
The body is the source of all our creativity. Our basic needs, pains and pleasures inform and feed our senses, imagery, sensations and movement. Our needs, tensions, conflicts, emotions, satisfaction, dissatisfaction, resolution, .... flow and pulse in the body chemistry, hormones, neural synapses, ... an immense creative inner expressive dance, necessary for us to understand ourselves and our lives, necessary to communicate with others so as to harness collaboration in the satisfaction of our needs.
